Terms of Service

These terms explain how you can use Bytful, how subscriptions work, and what responsibilities come with saving recipes, planning meals, and cooking with the app.

Last updated: April 8, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Bytful, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. Eligibility and account use

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

Bytful is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Recipes, cooking guidance, and your responsibility

Bytful is a private bookmarking and personal organization tool. It helps you save and organize recipes for your own personal use. You remain responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, temperatures, timing, and food safety before you cook or serve anything. Any guidance generated by the app is informational only and may not be complete or correct for your situation.

If you import content from a social post, website, or photo, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use that content for your personal use. Bytful acts merely as a conduit to reformat and organize your personal notes. We do not claim ownership over third-party recipe content, and you agree not to use Bytful to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of creators, publishers, or any third party.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Bytful in a way that breaks any law or third-party right, including copyright and intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or interfere with the app, website, or related services.
  • Upload, submit, or publicly republish content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service without permission.
  • Misrepresent the source of imported recipes or use the app to commercially distribute content you do not own.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Bytful Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store. Apple processes payment, manages renewal timing, and handles cancellation and refunds according to Apple’s policies.

If you subscribe, your payment method will be charged at purchase and again at the start of each renewal period unless you cancel before the renewal date in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Any price changes, taxes, or plan changes will be handled by Apple and shown to you before they take effect.

6. Intellectual property

The Bytful app, website, branding, and related materials are owned by Bytful or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use Bytful for your own personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these terms.

7. User content and Indemnification

You keep ownership of the original content you submit. Recipes you save are treated as your private, personal notes. By submitting recipes, notes, feedback, or other content, you grant us the permissions needed to host, process, display, and improve the service strictly for your use. This includes the right to analyze imported content using AI so the app can organize it into a structured recipe format.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold Bytful (and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents) harmless, including costs and reasonable attorneys' fees, from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity, including claims related to the unauthorized importation or use of copyrighted recipes.

8. Third-party services

Bytful may depend on third-party services such as Apple services, cloud hosting, analytics, and AI providers to operate the app and website. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Disclaimers

Bytful is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free recipe results, or that every imported recipe, substitution, or timer suggestion will be accurate for every situation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bytful and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the app or website.

If liability cannot be excluded entirely, our total liability for any claim related to the services will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Bytful if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for other users, or used the service in a way that could harm the app, our partners, or the broader community.

You may stop using Bytful at any time. If you want your account removed, contact us and we will help with the process where required by law and product constraints.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the date above and, if appropriate, give you additional notice through the app or website. Continued use of Bytful after the update means you accept the new terms.
