1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Moya AI LLC ("Moya AI", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Bytful app, website, and related services.

Bytful is an iPhone-first recipe organization and meal-planning service. It lets you save recipes, organize your cookbook, plan meals, build grocery lists, and use AI-assisted features such as recipe cleanup and cooking help.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Bytful, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information, such as your email address, Apple sign-in details, and account identifiers.
• Recipe and content data, including recipe links, recipe text, photos, screenshots, notes, imported captions, and meal-planning data that you choose to save.
• Support and communications data, including messages you send us and any related attachments or follow-up details.
• Subscription and entitlement data, including Apple-managed purchase status and subscription state needed to unlock paid features.
• Usage, analytics, and diagnostics data, such as screens visited, feature usage, crash logs, performance data, device type, app version, and approximate IP-based technical metadata.
• Permissions-based data, where you choose to grant access, such as photos, camera input, notifications, microphone, or speech recognition features.

3. How we collect it

We collect information in a few different ways:

• Directly from you when you create an account, import a recipe, contact support, answer product prompts, or use AI and planning features.
• Automatically from your device and app usage through diagnostics, analytics, security, and performance tools.
• From Apple and service providers when needed to validate subscriptions, operate authentication, or deliver support and infrastructure services.
• From content sources you choose to import, such as websites, shared links, recipe photos, or supported social content.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide the core product experience, including recipe saving, sync, grocery organization, meal planning, and Chef Byte assistance.
• Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and manage subscription access.
• Process imported content into a structured recipe format and generate related summaries, substitutions, or cooking assistance.
• Monitor app reliability, diagnose crashes, improve performance, and prevent abuse or fraud.
• Respond to support requests, privacy requests, and legal obligations.

5. AI and automated processing

Some Bytful features use AI or automated processing to transform content you provide into a more useful format. For example, we may process recipe text, recipe images, imported captions, chat messages, and dietary preference text in order to extract ingredients and steps, answer cooking questions, suggest substitutions, or organize recipe data.

When those features are used, relevant content may be sent to our AI or cloud service providers strictly to operate the requested feature. We do not use your content to train public general-purpose AI models unless we clearly disclose that and obtain any required permission.

6. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with service providers that help us run Bytful. These may include providers for hosting, authentication, databases, analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, email support, security, and AI processing. These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We may also share information with Apple when required for subscription handling, payment validation, App Store operations, or support workflows. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rights, to protect users, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Bytful Pro subscriptions are handled through Apple. Apple processes billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for App Store purchases. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain your account, provide support, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Some backups, logs, and security records may be retained for a limited period even after active data is deleted.

If you want to request deletion of your account or personal data, email hello@bytful.app. We will review and process requests in accordance with applicable law and our operational obligations. Canceling your Apple subscription does not automatically delete your account data, and deleting your account does not automatically cancel Apple billing.

9. Your choices

You can usually control or limit data through the app, your device settings, or by contacting us. For example:

• You can manage notification, microphone, photo, camera, and speech permissions in iOS settings.
• You can manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
• You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or support.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Bytful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will revise the date above and may provide notice through the app or website where appropriate.
