Fixing Common Bytful Issues

Quick support steps for recipe import, sync, purchase restore, Pro access, and Cooking Mode issues inside Bytful.

Most Bytful issues are solved by checking the source link, restarting the app, or restoring your purchase if Pro is missing.

Recipe Will Not Import

  • Make sure the source link still opens in Safari or the original app.
  • Try copying the full URL again and pasting it into Bytful.
  • If the source is a social post, check that the post is public and still available.
  • For photos, retake the image with better lighting and a flatter angle.

Import Looks Empty Or Incomplete

Sometimes a post only includes part of the recipe in the caption.

  • Scroll the original post for a longer caption or pinned comment.
  • Try importing the website version instead of the social post.
  • If it is still incomplete, use the text paste option so Bytful can parse the recipe directly.

Recipe Is Not Syncing

  • Confirm you are signed in to the same Apple account on both devices.
  • Make sure iCloud is available on the device.
  • Force quit and reopen Bytful.
  • If needed, restore purchases from the Account screen.

Cooking Mode Does Not Speak

  • Confirm your iPhone is not muted.
  • Turn up the media volume.
  • Check that voice / speech access is allowed in iOS settings.
  • Confirm that your Pro trial or subscription is active if you are using hands-free voice help.
  • Reopen the recipe and start Cooking Mode again.

Still Stuck

If the app still does not behave correctly, close and reopen Bytful, restart your iPhone, then email hello@bytful.app or use the Contact page. Include your device model, iOS version, the recipe link or screenshot, and what you expected to happen.
